I was at Chipotle (friends' choice, not mine) and it turned out what I have to assume was part of the local Volkswagen club was in the same lot. The first one I saw/parked by was this sick W8 Passat. I hate to use the word "sick", but I feel it appropriate in this case.

There was a Microbus pickup (SQUEEEEE!) and a very clean Vanagon,

a !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! along with one of several GTIs,

!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!

a Scirocco,

and somehow, just one single Beetle.

There were several newer GTIs and GLIs that I didn't bother with pictures of.

Yup. On some cars that lower look really works, as long as there's no stupid tire stretch or camber. I think my car would look good bagged.

people call em different things. VW called them notchbacks and not fastbacks because the karmann ghia was based off the same platform and was technically a notchback, but the karmann ghia was just the karmann ghia. But ya, technically a fastback

The more I look at this Passat te more I like it. It's got low profiles, big wheels, fat tires and yet isn't ridiculous looking. Much more classy than the over-stanced jobs...

I think they are usually far more expensive then a good set of coil overs unfortunately, especially if you need a custom set up because there aren't any kits available for your car. So like over 2k I think
